Arenal / La Fortuna to Monteverde (Van-Boat-Van)

This is the fastest and a very scenic way to travel between the Arenal Vocano and the cloud forests of Monteverde. This transfer operates in either direction and you get great views of the Arenal Volcano and the unspoiled and tropical Lake Arenal.

Please note: We charge an additional pick up and/or drop off fee for a few hotels located outside our normal pick up areas. Let us know where you need to be picked up and dropped off and we will tell you if any additional charges are involved.

Departs: 8:00am, 2:00pm from La Fortuna, 8:00am, 2:00 pm from Monteverde (actual departure time varies depending on hotel pick-up location).

Duration: Approx. 3 hours total.

Includes: From La Fortuna to Monteverde: Ground transport to Lake Arenal; 30-minute boat ride to the town of Río Chiquito; 1.5-2 hour ground transport from Lake Arenal to your Monteverde hotel. From Monteverde to La Fortuna: Ground transport to Lake Arenal; 30-minute boat ride to the earthen dam on the lake; ground transport from Lake Arenal to your La Fortuna hotel.
